At RobMac we’ve always sponsored causes or people that we’ve
believed in, especially when there is a challenge involved. We are therefore delighted to announce our
joint sponsorship of the The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
Ewan, Jamie and Lachlan Maclean hope to be the first three
brothers and the youngest trio to row across the Atlantic from La Gomera to
Antigua (3,000 miles) starting on 12 December 2019 in their 26-foot boat.
The boys are raising money for two causes that they believe
in; Feedback Madagascar and Children 1st. Feedback Madagascar works
hand in hand with some of the poorest communities in Madagascar to improve
their lives and their environment. Children 1st is Scotland’s National
Children’s Charity and helps some of Scotland’s poorest communities to put
children first using practical advice and support in difficult times.
They’ve been training hard both on and off the water in
order to prepare for their transatlantic challenge. They are also holding a number
of fundraising events in advance of their departure in December – details on the
website below.
We wish them all the very best and will keep you posted
about their progress on our website and on our Facebook page. You can also
donate directly to their charities by visiting www.broar.co.uk
